Heat setting
The heat setting of a textile consists in stabilizing its dimensions by heating (resistance to elongation and shrinkage). This step is important for braids and cords that must be used at fixed lengths (nets, garlands, supports…).
Heat setting concerns textiles made partly of thermoplastic materials (polyester, nylon…). This operation is performed in our workshop in Ambert (63), where our braids and technical cords are manufactured. It is therefore possible to include a heat-setting step in the product’s production line.
Do not hesitate to contact us to know the possibilities and advantages of this finishing step.
